Nesting Habits

So I've been getting some heat from one of the 3 people who know about my blog that I only have one posting. I'm impressed that someone is actually checking it, even if she is related to me (hi to my sister)! One of the other 2 people who know about my blog is on a bike somewhere in the southwest U.S. desert, so I know he's not reading this (or shouldn't be)!

I've been asked whether I've been "nesting" which is apparently the crazy mode pregnant women go into at the end of their pregnancy where they clean everything and buy everything and basically prep for their baby's arrival. Well, I've had no nesting tendencies although one curious thing is that I've been lately obsessed with buying toilet paper. Everytime I go to a store that sells it, I buy it. Yesterday, at the CVS ($10 for 9 rolls? no problem!). Today, at Wegman's (should I get the big pack of 20 when I bought two packs of 9 yesterday? of course!). Is that nesting?

And while I'm on this topic, can I just say that I'm very disappointed that Charmin has changed the formulation of their "red package" original Charmin. What's with the extra heavy duty? You only need like 2 squares, but then you feel weird using 2 squares (didn't Sheryl Crow suggest that). Anyway, I've switched to the Charmin "blue package" because it feels more like original Charmin. I should really just boycott Charmin, but because I've gained 100 pounds in 7 months, it's just too tiring to stage a boycott of anything.

So I had my showers a couple weekends ago. Two in one weekend! I'd like to thank my hosts (sisters and mothers) and the guests for giving me all sorts of strange things that I'm sure I'll figure out in a year or two (wipe warmer? why do the babies need their diaper wipes warmed up first? Jim wants to not spoil them by putting the wipes in the 'fridge first). But everyone was very nice and generous.

At one of my showers, we played a Baby Word Scramble game. Not only did I do horribly, I also got the word "OMYMM" wrong. Apparently it was "MOMMY". I'm not worried. That doesn't mean anything, right? Riiiight....

Ooooh... You should try Cottonelle toilet paper. It's my favorite!

Good parenting is not predicted by Scramble skills. You're going to do a great job!

Thanks Heather (the third of my blog readers)! I'll try Cottonelle, although I'll probably have to get through my Charmin backlog first. BTW, reading Mark's Day 3 blog gave me a Braxton-Hicks contraction! Glad he's okay.

Sandra-

Let's up that to 4 readers! Keep it up.

Jen and I are doing our own version of nesting to get ready to spoil the twins rotten. I've got a nephew on my side to ruin as well so we're a very dedicated couple.

Found you! Here's one more reader. FYI - we're partial to quilted northern, mostly because our Oak Park plumber yelled at us for using anything else (was she a stockholder?). So we're hooked less we get yelled at again.

(Kathy, despite who blogger says I am)
